eRacemax ITALIA
The Legendary Aero-Gravel, Made in Italy. Now Electric.
Developed and handcrafted in our Italian factory using 3T’s proprietary Filament Winding + RTM technology, the e-Racemax is the fastest e-bike in our gravel range.
With its iconic design and fully integrated cable routing, it’s almost indistinguishable from its non-electric sibling.
Engineered for speed and performance on gravel and every road surface, from smooth tarmac to rough cobblestones, the e-Racemax with WAM 700c tires (35–45mm) is the ultimate electric gravel bike.
Agile, responsive, and versatile, it’s perfect for riders seeking an elegant
all-rounder with the added power of an electric motor.
The frame, built in Italy with our proprietary carbon technology, is identical to the non-electric Racemax.
All electronics, cables, and batteries are housed inside the downtube; no bulkyprofiles or unsightly external modifications. The Mahle X20 rear hub motor preserves the original geometry and delivers an unmatched natural ride feel.
Starting from our favorite tires and allowing space for knobs and mud, we designed the rear wheel cutout as close as possible to the seat tube and a large downtube to guide airflow from the front wheel.
We engineered a head tube that accommodates a robust fork steerer,
aero-optimized seat stays, and bottle placement sheltered from the wind.
Most importantly, we designed everything for real-world speed, considering crosswinds, tire width, bottles, accessories, and even mud. The e-Racemax is fast where it matters: on the road, not just in a wind tunnel.
The e-Racemax features a hand-built carbon frame made in Italy with 3T’s proprietary technologies and an impressively low weight. But it’s the optimized weight distribution and center of gravity that make the ride feel like a traditional bike.
Equipped with the Mahle X20 motor customized for 3T, delivering 65Nm
torque, paired with a 236Wh battery for smooth, progressive power.
The motor adds just over 3kg to the bike’s total weight.
The Mahle system offers Bluetooth & ANT+ connectivity, Garmin compatibility, three preset power modes, and a fully customizable fourth
mode via the MySmartBike app.
With smart power management, you can easily achieve 100+ km range and 1000 m elevation gain*.
Need more autonomy? Add the optional 171Wh range extender (1.1 kg) mounted in the bottle cage for 50% extra range.
*Average for a rider under 75 kg on fast gravel/asphalt routes, EU speed limit
of 25 km/h.
Internal cable routing makes the bike look sleek and can reduce aerodynamic drag. But what’s the point if it requires oversized head tubes and bearings, complicating maintenance and fit adjustments?
Our MORE Integrale system solves this by using the same head tube
dimensions as external routing systems, offering key advantages:
To build a fast gravel bike, start with tire size. Tire choice affects comfort, grip, and how airflow interacts with the frame.
The key metric is WAM (Width As Measured)—the actual measured tire
width—because it directly impacts traction, puncture resistance, aerodynamics, and rolling resistance.
Choose your WAM based on:
1. Terrain (traction, puncture resistance)
2. Rider skill (how much grip you need)
3. Speed (slower riders sink deeper into the surface)

** RaceMax FORK length is equal to a standard road bike, so this HEADTUBE length can be compared to road bikes. To compare to gravel bikes with standard gravel forks, deduct 25mm from these “road" headtube lengths for a proper comparison.
Close-fitting cutout to shield the rear wheel and achieve the most speed.
No oversized gaps between front tire & downtube for better airflow transition and less turbulence.
The original Exploro set today’s standard for up to 54mm tire clearance. The RaceMax has up to 61mm with 650b"!
