In 2022 the Unbound XL kicked off with 105 racers and adventurers embarking on a journey deep into the heart of Kanas. In the field that day was Cynthia Carson, she took home the first place prize and in doing so set the new standard for the women’s time in 22:25 hours.
Her bike for the journey was the Exploro Ultra Copper frame, the perfect choice for an ultra-distance adventure like Unbound XL. Built up with SRAM’s Force/Eagle configuration, a Dynamo hub to keep the lumens pumping, and of course some deep carbon hoops to keep the speed up when you can.
This bike was built to win from the start.
In 2024 Svenja Betz brought home the victory and a 13th position overall in just under 24 hours.
She led the perfect race pedaling the 566-kilometer route always with a smile on her face. Her bike for this ’24 season is the Ultra in size XXS in the Reverb team custom paint job, SRAM’s Force/Eagle configuration, 700x40c Continental terra trail tires.
