Let’s go “full gas” with the August events and races.

FRANCE

Aug 3-4: Olympic Games WE – Road Race

On Saturday men’s Paris Olympic Games road race kicks off the second weekend of road events in Paris. The women’s road race will be held 24 hours after on Sunday August the 4th on similar courses, with the finish below the Trocadéro after sprinting across the Pont d’Iéna bridge. Then the switch to the velodrome for the track events.

Just 90 athletes will compete in the road races, with the men racing for 273km, via a long rolling loop to the southeast of Paris and then two laps of an 18.4km circuit that includes a cobbled climb up to the spectacular Montmartre.

SWEDEN

Aug 17: Gravel Grit ’n Grind

A three days gravel stage race around the remarkable wilderness of Halmstad, Sweden.

This is a three days stage race and part of the 2024 Trek UCI Gravel World Series. There is an overall competition over the three days. And of course, it´s possible to do a single race, two stages, or the full three day stage race. Only the event on Saturday, stage 2, is the official event in the 2024 Trek UCI Gravel World Series that gives you the possibility to qualify for the UCI world championship 2024.

Aug 18: SBT GRVL

SBT GRVL is a world-class gravel race experience held on the greatest gravel roads on Earth in and around the magnificent Steamboat Springs, CO. The unique combination of the quiet roads surrounding a thriving resort town create a setting for an incredible gravel bike race.

With the fundamental goal of inclusiveness, we want to focus not only on the race, but a fantastic weekend away with family and friends. The beauty of the mountains (not to mention the camaraderie with fellow cyclists) as well as the basic challenge of covering these gravel roads on two wheels is something that will not soon be forgotten.

Aug 24: Houffa Gravel

On Saturday, August 24th, Houffa Gravel hosts the third leg of the Bolero Gravel Series, also serving as the only Belgian UCI qualifier for the 2024 Gravel World Championship in Halle/Leuven.

The idyllic Ardennes town of Houffalize along the Ourthe river becomes the beating heart of gravel cycling on that day. The expansive region surrounding Houffalize unveils a true paradise for gravel enthusiasts. Amidst pristine nature and lush green landscapes, you can fully enjoy the beauty of splendid gravel roads.
