First ever Ironman winner on all continents

Marino ‘Bink’ Vanhoenacker is a soft spoken but very ambitious athlete. When he told me some time ago that it was his ambition to be the fist ever athlete to win an IRONMAN on every continent, I could see in his eyes he was serious.

Today Marino achieved this major goal: by winning the IRONMAN Australia in Port Macquarie, the Belgium athlete racing for Austrian Pewag Racing Team became the first triathlete in the world to win an IRONMAN race on every continent.

The 42-year-old exceptional athlete is thus the first and only human to secure the IRONMAN continental grand slam. Marino is racing with the award winning Revo aerobar, which 3T introduced in 2015.

The Revo provides for a safer and more powerful grip for the rider. The Revo has been Marino’s aerobar of choice since its introduction.

Congrats Marino, an amazing achievement!
