Vancouver is home to some of our favourite custom-painted Exploros and Stradas, between La Bicicletta and Veloholic there are a few truly special #GetCreative projects rolling around the west coast.
This custom Exploro comes to us from Kalum Utley (give him a follow on IG for some Vancouver riding that will surely make you jealous – @sore_legs) and here we see it built up with its road boots. With this setup, it’s ready to take on anything from the fastest group rides, the occasional crit, or just long weekend cruises. The Exploroad as Kalum calls it, pairs aerodynamics and road speed with the comfort and stability of an endurance or gravel bike. That killer artwork you see comes from @Nicenothings another Vancouver local doing some great work.
Away from the tarmac, his Exploro takes on singletrack that no rigid drop bar bike has any business riding.
With not many organized events happening this summer, this Exploro has some big rides it’ll be undertaking. Kalum will be taking on a Whitehorse to Vancouver point-to-point ride that links the two cities over a 1900km route. The scenery will surely be incredible and we’ll bring you images and some route ideas for your own northern adventure once it’s done.
