An extraordinary journey, allowing us to recreate the know-how of carbon manufacturing and bring production back from the Far East to the country where our brand was born and continues to innovate: Italy.
Since 2018, we have restarted production in our Presezzo factory, where we now manufacture a complete range of high-quality carbon frames and bicycles, including the Racemax² Italia.

Technically, our process is called Filament Winding Bladder-Assisted Resin Transfer Moulding, based on two core technologies:
- Automated winding of dry carbon fibre (Filament Winding) to create complex shapes.
- Direct resin application inside the mould (Resin Transfer Moulding), instead of using pre-impregnated sheets.
In short? Jazz Carbon.
Within the 3T lineup, the Racemax² Italia represents the most race-oriented gravel bike, built to perform at its best on fast and smooth surfaces.
Its geometry stays true to the principles of "realfast gravel", an ideal balance between performance and comfort that allows every racer to maintain peak efficiency for longer. Compared to the first-generation Racemax Italia, handling has been refined with a steeper head angle, stability enhanced through a bigger bottom bracket drop and revised fork offset, while responsiveness benefits from shorter 420 mm chainstays.
The same applies to aerodynamics: starting with our favourite tires, we then engineered a perfectly fitting front and rear wheel cutout (with mud clearance, of course) and a closely trailing 75-mm base downtube to catch the airflow coming off the front tires and shield the water bottles at the same time.
We added a super-narrow headtube (now with a nose), a multi-shape fork with shielded calliper bolts and aero details from seatstay to seatpost. Most importantly, we engineered this for realistic riding speeds, wind speeds, tire widths, bottle positions and even for mud.
Our mantra has always been: “It all starts with the tires.”
They are the foundation of our frame design, which is why we also defined a reliable way to measure them — WAM (Width-as-Measured) and RAM (Radius-as-Measured). Realfast aerodynamics means this too: REAL measures, not theory.
The Racemax² Italia features a maximum tire clearance of 51 mm WAM (48 mm for 2x setups) and 363 mm RAM.
This frame has been engineered and aerodynamically optimised to deliver its best performance in combination with tires ranging from 41 to 51 mm WAM.
We designed an aerodynamically shaped front end with a particularly slim profile, adding a nose to minimize the frontal surface, and increase aerodynamic efficiency.
Additionally, the new fork design features advanced details such as entirely new aero-shaped legs and a compact upper arch, delivering increased precision and improved handling.
Inside a slim head tube, similar in size to that of a road bike and ideal for optimal aerodynamic performance, we’ve integrated oversized CeramicSpeed SLT bearings (44x33 top and 52x42 bottom) to ensure maximum stiffness and durability.
The upper section (neck) measures 55 mm and features a wheel cut-out for perfect tire alignment, while the lower section is 75 mm wide, designed to streamline airflow not only around the bottles but also around the tools stored in the integrated storage compartment.
The Fidlock mini-hook locking mechanism ensures super-easy opening and secure closure with just a click, while the Missgrape-developed neoprene bag guarantees silent, stable load carrying. It’s also easy to remove thanks to the integrated handle. [Link to instruction]
The proprietary D-shaped steering tube routes all cables internally while maintaining a minimal headset design. Paired with the More stem, it offers maximum aerodynamic efficiency, a clean look, and a narrow frontal area, making assembly and adjustment easy.
The two-piece design allows fine-tuning of handlebar angle or swapping stem lengths (±1 cm) without disconnecting or bleeding brake hoses.
Compatible only with electronic groupsets. [Link to instructions]
Up to 52T using 3T Torno Wide (1X configuration), any GRX Di2 2X and Campagnolo 2x13 up to 52/36. More information here [link frame technical specification]
Racemax² Italia seatpost integrates a rear light system with 5 modes and a memory function, offering up to 25 lumens and up to 15 hours of runtime in strobe mode.
The light can be easily removed and reinstalled for charging via the built-in USB-A plug.
A cover plate is included with every frame kit and complete bike, to be used when a rear bikepacking bag is installed. [Link to instructions]
Fork cover. The front caliper mounting bolts are seamlessly integrated into the fork thanks to a painted cover.
Designed only for electronic groupsets.
