This is the tale of “The Journey of a Fan, as Seen Through the Eyes of one of His Fans”
In Italy, Linus is a renowned personality, not only for his profound knowledge of music, which led him to become the artistic director of Radio DJ, one of the most beloved radio stations in the country, but also for his unwavering passion for sports. We often playfully tease him about his age, as sports have the remarkable ability to make us feel five or six years younger (hopefully, my jokes have not been too harsh).
Our paths merged at a time when Linus’s curiosity intersected with the world of Gravel. Despite being the voice we listen to every morning at our company, I hesitated to step forward. However, the desire to share this passion became irresistible.
What followed was a truly incredible experience. I rallied all my colleagues, who immediately set to work producing a Racemax Italia frame with our Torno crankset to honor the voice that accompanies us on the radio each morning, which became unknowingly part of our 3T team filling up the silence in our Factory. Throughout the production process, I kept Linus informed, taking him on a journey from a single strand of carbon to an object that embodies not only passion and performance, but overall an exquisite beauty.
The funny part in the midst of this adventure was when I couldn’t resist sharing my experience with one of my closest friends, Enrico, who possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of Linus’s life, and asked him to come with me to present the bike to his hero. His deep admiration made it difficult for him to join me when the time came. The emotions were overwhelming. Yet, amidst laughter and joy, we managed to have an incredibly entertaining video call.
Finally, the day arrived for the delivery of the bike. In this pivotal moment, I also involved our new colleagues and partners, Gianluca and Gianpiero, both avid fans of Linus. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of meeting individuals from the entertainment industry and renowned personalities. Yet, the connection I formed with Linus during this journey was something truly extraordinary. It was his simplicity and humility in our interactions that left a lasting mark. “Guys, I can confirm that his voice is just as genuine as it sounds…”
In closing, I would like to share one of Linus’s profound statements: “Edi, I didn’t know you well at first, but the more I follow you, the more I see the spirit of a Punk Brand within you” —guys, this is the culmination of 14 years of dedication to our Brand.
