A journey across continents, terrains, cultures redefining what gravel means since 2017.
Born Before Gravel Was Mainstream (2017–2018)
Jeroboam was born in 2017 in Franciacorta (Italy) as the first edition of what would become a global gravel phenomenon. The event blended 300 km, 150 km, and 75 km routes with a warm, family‑driven atmosphere; a pioneering experiment at a time when gravel was still emerging in Europe.
By 2018, the success of the first editions proved that the concept worked. Riders demanded more events closer to home, sparking the plan to expand internationally.
The guiding philosophy was already clear and remains unchanged today. Choose dirt over asphalt, value autonomy, exploration, and self‑reliance and celebrate landscapes, not podiums.
Jeroboam wasn’t meant to be a race; it was meant to be an experience. And riders understood the vision immediately.
Global Expansion: From Italy to the World (2019–2021)
In 2019, Jeroboam expanded into Spain, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic, bringing its gravel DNA beyond Italy’s borders.
By 2020, it aimed to become a global series featuring events in Costa Rica, Greece, Japan, Italy (Dolomites + Franciacorta), Spain and Austria.
The Nicoya Peninsula (Costa Rica) opened the 2020 calendar, offering a gentler 300 km route with 3,000 m of elevation, while Franciacorta remained renowned as the world’s toughest 300 km gravel challenge with 7,000 m of climbing.
Even during the difficult 2020 season, Jeroboam kept its spirit alive through “Soloboam”, encouraging riders to complete a 300 km adventure near home.
In 2021, the series relaunched stronger than ever with 10 global events spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas, including Japan (sold out), Malaysia, and Patagonia.
The Jeroboam Format
Distances Inspired by Franciacorta Wine
Since the beginning, Jeroboam has offered four signature distances, each inspired by large Italian wine bottle sizes, a nod to its origins near Franciacorta:
- Demi – 37.5 km (family‑friendly intro gravel ride)
- Standard – 75 km Classic day ride
- Magnum – 150 km Endurance gravel
- Jeroboam – 300 km The iconic ultra‑challenge
In Italy, especially in the Dolomites and Franciacorta, the terrain is raw, rugged, and unfiltered:
“Jeroboam 300 has been called the Rampage of Gravel.”
Jeroboam Today
The Modern Ultra‑Gravel Ecosystem
In 2026, Jeroboam stays true to its roots while evolving into a refined multi‑stage series with new formats and a stronger narrative around autonomy, bikepacking, and ultra‑distance exploration.

Why Jeroboam is Different
Jeroboam is not designed for comfort or predictability, it is designed for those who embrace uncertainty and choose solitude when needed.
Riders can enjoy long hours in the saddle while admiring landscapes more than finish lines.
The event invites riders to explore forgotten roads, reconnect with nature and challenge themselves beyond metrics.
The community and the village are parto of the expirience to share stories with strangers who become friends.
Jeroboam is gravel reduced to its most pure form:
Freedom, distance, and discovery.
3T and Jeroboam
A shared origin
Jeroboam was created by 3T in the same region where the brand builds its frames, northern Italy, and the two projects have always grown together.
3T sees gravel as a culture, a mindset and an invitation to explore.
Jeroboam embodies that philosophy on the ground, giving riders around the world a stage where their curiosity and endurance can flourish.
