Adam Blythe back to his winning ways

Adam Blythe, rider of Aqua Blue Sports, won today the Euro Shop Elfstedentocht in mass sprint on his 3T Strada bike. Adam is the first British winner in the history of this race. The race covers no less than 19 cobble stone sections, making this a very tough one.

After numerous attacks throughout the day, pre-race favourite Wout van Aert saw his attack on the final cobble stone section thwarted, setting up a pack sprint.

The sprint started from a long way out, but Adam bided his time, dove through a hole on the left side and crossed the line with a clear margin. It has been a while since the last win for Adam, so he was very happy with this important sprint win today. Adam rode his Strada with a 52t chainring and 11-32 cassette.
