We at Contender Bicycles love the idea of custom paint schemes, if only because it ensures that we get the bicycle of our dreams from the start.
And while we’ve had plenty of fun doing custom paint on a number of bikes, these 3T Stradas are some of our most fun iterations yet. Like the other GET CREATIVE bikes featured, each is a representation of the rider’s style, preference, and mindset on the bike. Let’s hear it from Laura, the owner !:
That bike color is the “Tiffany’s Gift Box” blue. When I decided I really must have a Strada, I had several friends that owned the red color and my homey owned the limited edition navy + gold frame. I wanted something that is a reflection of how I feel on the Strada: different, unique, fun and happy.
I was having pre-ride coffee with my pal (and color expert) and she came up with the color combo. We jumped on a quick call with Ryan of Contender Bicycles, and he promptly gave me an enthusiastic yes on the color choice. The idea of ordering the bike and picking the color took about ten minutes from start to finish.
I love the bike and the paint color and get compliments on it all the time! I think 3T should do a limited edition run on this paint combo, so long as 3T sponsor me with another frame!
