After the Exploro Team Force/Eagle (shown below), it is now time for a completely different version of the Exploro. And in a way, the two bikes together perfectly showcase the versatility of the Exploro frameset and all the rides you can do when you own either bike.
The Force/Eagle build was the most capable Exploro we’ve ever put together, using the SRAM Eagle XX1 AXS rear derailleur to provide an incredible gearing range, with SRAM Force AXS road components to perfectly match the dropbar setup. 650b wheels and chunky 2.0″ tires completed that setup.
This new Exploro Pro Rival (shown above) goes the other way. At its core is of course the world’s first (and still only) full-aero gravel frame, now in its third generation. Suitable for anything from fast tarmac group rides to the toughest gravel roads, singletrack and multi-day bikepacking tours, it continues to combine speed, comfort and toughness.
But the Exploro Pro Rival component spec is focused on all-road, meaning a bike perfect for fast paved and moderate unpaved riding.
SRAM’s reliable Rival1 groupset, 700c Fulcrum Racing 7 DB wheels (with extra DRP seals for the mucky stuff), Schwalbe’s brilliant G-One 700x38c Allround tubeless tires and a 3T finishing kit leave nothing to be desired for the road rider who wants to mix the terrain up a bit.
And as always with an Exploro, even the most extreme riding imaginable is only a tire or wheel swap away. More information and specs can be found here.
Equally exciting is the price, this is our most inexpensive Exploro ever at USD 3599/EUR3599, although you wouldn’t guess it looking at the specs. In fact, the first batch is already sold out in a few countries, and it will be several months before we get more.
