Jeroboam Franciacorta Through the eyes of Velocio // Exploro
Ciao, Italia!
The Velocio // Exploro team rendezvoused in Italy for the Jeroboam Gravel finale in Franciacorta. Five of us were able to make the trip and had a blast exploring the region. With a few days in Milan before and after, we were able to take in the sights, sounds, and flavors this area has to offer. Yes, we made sure to seek out gelato every day.
A visit to the 3T office and production facility in Bergamo was next and we loved seeing the new projects in the works! Once we made the trek to the Jeroboam festival, we settled into the area and got a lunch recommendation from a local who escorted us through town via scooter! The event weekend kicked off with a pasta dinner and fun around the fire, chatting it up with familiar faces & new friends.
We had a rider in every category, with Meghan tackling the full Jeroboam 300km, Cynthia in the Magnum 150km, and Britt, Rachel, and Caro all enjoying the Standard 75km on Saturday. The routes were all very challenging and scenic, rolling through the famous winery lands on chunky gravel, zipping through the little villages, and tackling some of the mountains this area boasts. Sunday we rode the Demi course, stopping for a wine tasting and lunch along the route with our new friend and fellow 3T rider, Pierfrancesco!
