Ever since I met Andrea and Matteo, the founders of Rolling Dreamers, almost 2 years ago, I enjoy spending time with them. Their passion for cycling, their entrepreneurial spirit, their drive, and the fact they have a sincere willingness to make the world a better place are all very inspiring.
In the last years, Andrea and Matteo rode their bikes from Florence to Barcelona, they took part in the Barcelona Triathlon and last year they rode on their custom painted Exploro from Tuscany to Paris to participate in the Paris Roubaix Challenge.
In their Rolling Dreamers Club they continuously look for different ways to combine sport and everyday life. The club connects athletes who search in sport something more than physical performance and competition: a process of self-awareness, friendship and ethical values.
When I met last week with Andrea and Matteo they told me about their latest project: they want to prove that sport can overcome social gaps, and create valuable process of inclusion and integration.
They opened their Club to Mbaye Sarr and Oumar Sylla, two asylum seekers from Senegal and Guinea based now in Florence. They joined their triathlon training group, in order to take part to the “Santini Trio Senigallia” race, that will take place on the 22nd of July in Ancona, Italy.
The #HumanFactor project (as its officially called) started with a triathlon training program that combines basic workout to improve running, swimming and cycling endurance.
In these first days they are learning a lot of new things, and Mbaye and Oumar experienced their first swimming practice and bike fitting.
It will be amazing to see their improvements and I’ll tell news and progress through this blog page.
If you like to support Andrea and Matteo with their great work, you can become a member of their club. Keep the dream rolling!
