Get Creative: RaceMax Edition
The first in what we hope is a long series of Get Creative RaceMax blogs comes to us from Memphis, Tennessee and the Victory Bicycle Studio. Their customer Duncan had his first Exploro stolen back in March, but from that sad event came the opportunity to build something special.
This was one of the first RaceMax framesets to come out of production and we’re thrilled to see the care and thought put into this build.
Duncan and the team at Victory chose Nardo Grey as the primary color for the upper and lower sections. But in order to make clean up a little easier, they chose a glossy variant of the color for the bottom section below the 3T box. The box itself, takes the colors of the shop to provide some pop and separation between the matte and glossy versions of Nardo Grey.
There are some really impressive small details on this bike as well. Looking down at the chainstay you see both the logo of Victory Bicycle Studio and the state crest of Tennessee. On the downtube, you’ll see a nice continuation of the seatpost’s pinstripe in that Victory blue color. A very nice touch that showcases some flare to whoever is on the wheel.
Finishing off the bike they went with a SRAM Force/Eagle AXS drivetrain to give Duncan both the high-end needed to stick with groups on faster sections of gravel and the range to get over anything in the Ozarks. A set of Enve 4.5 AR set up tubeless with the new Vittoria Terreno Zero gravel tires completes the build. This is surely going to be one fast machine.
