The Primo² WPNT is here
Our story in recent years has been deeply tied to one segment: gravel. Over the past decade, gravel has grown into a massive wave. Back in 2017, when we launched the Exploro — the world’s first aero-gravel bike — very few had even spotted that wave on the horizon, and even fewer felt the need for a surfboard to ride it. We had just built one. And we were so proud of that pioneering spirit that it became our motto: BE FIRST.
Almost ten years later, that small, barely visible ripple has become a towering wave. For us, the challenge is no longer to be on it. Everyone is now. What really matters is staying on the fastest part of the wave, making the most of its speed. That’s the meaning behind our new motto: Riding the High Line.
The bike that’s carried us on this journey has kept evolving. The very first Exploro TEAM and LTD quickly began a process of constant refinement; Kaizen, as the Japanese would say. Just a year after its launch, it already featured a flat-mount brake system, a new fork, and a redesigned seatpost clamp. Then it stayed that way for a while, becoming so iconic that people started calling all our gravel bikes “Exploro”, even the Racemax. That’s why, in 2023, we gave it a new name: Primo. Last year, with our own in-house paint facility up and running, it became Primo WPNT.
Today, we’re proud to introduce the new iteration of that 2017 original: a bike we’ve refined detail by detail, while keeping its core identity and design intact. Ten years later, it still feels fresh and beautiful, the kind of timelessness only true classics have.
SEMI-INTEGRALE SYSTEM
The first update on the Primo² WPNT is something you’ll notice right away, or rather, you won’t see. The cables are out of sight. With our Semi-Integrale system, we’ve created a super-clean cockpit that’s still easy to maintain, almost like an external setup. The system allows for up to four cables, making it compatible with virtually every groupset on the market, including mechanical 2x.
GEOMETRY & FIT
Due to the new cable routing, the fit has been slightly updated: the stack height is now 1.5 cm higher than on previous Exploro/Primo models. This gives riders a more relaxed position, while still delivering the same legendary Exploro TEAM/LTD feel, as all other geometry numbers remain unchanged.
UDH COMPATIBILITY
The Primo² WPNT is also UDH-ready, fully compatible with all current and future SRAM Full-Mount drivetrains, and gaining all the benefits this standard brings.
CLEARANCE & VERSATILITY
Clearance remains the same: the frame fits 700c tires up to 45 mm WAM (Width-As-Measured) and 355 mm RAM (Radius-As-Measured), and performs best with tires no smaller than 35 mm.
This versatility — paired with an especially attractive price point — makes the Primo² WPNT the perfect entry into our world for riders discovering gravel, and for those who want one bike that works both on and off the road.
SPECS & AVAILABILITY
The Primo² WPNT is available as a frameset or complete bike, in 4 sizes (S-M-L-XL) and 4 in-house painted Italian colors: Gesso, Fumo, Salvia, and Orchidea.
All four colors feature a graphic treatment that subtly reveals the iconic 3T box logo here in a softer, blurred version. It’s our tribute to the red box that framed the “3” and the “T” for the past decade, and which we left behind in our latest rebranding.
Build options include:
-
SRAM Rival XPLR AXS 1x13 (with alloy or carbon wheel options)
And for riders who want full customisation, the Primo² WPNT is also available as a frameset.
The Primo² WPNT is available starting today on our website and through selected dealers.
